Range Rules

RANGE SAFETY RULES

EVERYONE MUST FOLLOW THESE RULES AT ALL TIMES!

  1. Safety glasses and hearing protection must be worn at all times.
  2. Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.
  3. Your muzzle must be pointed down-range at all times.
  4. Keep your finger straight, off the trigger and away from the trigger guard until you are ready to fire.
  5. Know your target; what is in-line with your target and what is behind your target.
  6. All firearms and ammunition must be inspected by the Hunt Indoor Gun Range RSO and/or Line RSO prior to use.
  7. The following types of ammunition are NOT permitted at the Hunt Indoor Gun Range:
    • Reloaded or remanufactured ammunition (except as approved by Hunt Indoor Gun Range RSO and/or Line RSO);
    • Tracer or explosive tip (USING THESE ROUNDS COULD CAUSE A FIRE);
    • Steel core, steel jacketed, or metal piercing;
    • Cowboy and shotgun target loads;
    • Center fire bird shot, rat-shot, snake-shot and .410ga PDX;
    • Black powder or pyrodex loads; and
    • Any subsonic ammunition.
  8. Firearms may not be handled outside of the customer’s individual lane.
  9. Firearms should be uncased only at the firing line bench in designated lane under the supervision of the Hunt Indoor Gun Range RSO and/or Line RSO.
  10. All shooting must be done from behind the lane bench. Under no circumstance whatsoever is anyone permitted in front of the lane benches during range operation.
  11. Only one customer is allowed in a lane unless the customer is a minor accompanied by a parent, legal guardian and/or the Hunt Indoor Gun Range RSO. In such case, only one person in the booth may handle a firearm at any given time.
  12. All minors must have parental consent to participate in Hunt Indoor Gun Range activities and may do so only when accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or Hunt Indoor Gun Range RSO and/or Line RSO.
  13. A customer may only fire at their designated lane target. Cross-lane firing is strictly prohibited.
  14. Holster work is not permitted at Hunt Indoor Gun Range at any time.
  15. Only Hunt Indoor Gun Range approved targets may be used.
  16. Hunt Indoor Gun Range has zero tolerance for use or your being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs before/during shooting activities or when handling firearms in the Hunt Indoor Gun Range.
  17. No food, drink, or tobacco products are permitted at Hunt Indoor Gun Range at any time.
  18. No cell phones are permitted at Hunt Indoor Gun Range at any time.
  19. Pregnant women or women considering pregnancy should be advised that an over-exposure of lead can result in miscarriage, premature birth, low birth weight and developmental delays in children. Please consult with your physician before engaging in firing activities at the Hunt Indoor Gun Range.
  20. Any instructions issued by the Hunt Indoor Gun Range RSO and / or Line RSO must be followed at all times.
  21. No personal firearms are permitted in the classroom area at Hunt Indoor Gun Range.
  22. Before leaving the Hunt Indoor Gun Range, all firearms must be inspected by the Hunt Indoor Gun Range RSO and/or Line RSO to ensure the firearm is unloaded and properly secured for transport.
  23. Hunt Indoor Gun Range customers found in violation of any rules or who fail to follow any instructions given are subject to immediate removal.
  24. The use of the Hunt Indoor Gun Range is a privilege, not a right. We reserve the right to prohibit participation in any Hunt Indoor Gun Range activity at any time absolutely.
